IN MEMORIAM: DAVID L. BALANGUE, 1951-2019

The Makati Business Club extends its deepest sympathies to the family of David L. Balangue, who passed away this morning, 29 April 2019, after a lingering illness. He was 67.

Dave Balangue, former chairman and managing partner of SGV & Co., was a member of the MBC Board of Trustees from 2005 to 2011, served as treasurer of the Club from 2008 to 2011, and was an active member of the Club’s National Issues Committee. Representing MBC, he chaired the Coalition Against Corruption, an alliance of groups representing the business sector, academe, civil society, and the Church that aimed to strengthen public participation in governance and to ensure the proper use of public funds. He was also a former chairman of the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections.

The wake will be at Chapel 8 of Heritage Park, Bayani Road, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, from April 29 (Monday) to May 1 (Wednesday), 3:00 PM. Masses will be held at 8:00 PM on April 29 (Monday) and 30 (Tuesday).
