14 June 2021 – The Makati Business Club held its Annual Membership Meeting for 2021 and conducted the elections for six (6) Board seats today. MBC also announced its first set of committees for various national development projects.

MBC Treasurer Riza Mantaring, presided over the meeting. She reported that MBC has remained focused on projects that promote a democratic, sustainable, and inclusive economy. “Trustees, members, and the staff got deeply involved in private sector and public-private activities to address the crisis on the national level. MBC has played a leading role in organizing or co-organizing a good number of these partnerships and activities,” said Ms. Mantaring.

“MBC was formed 40 years ago this year — 2021 — in another crisis. The business sector played a key role in defeating that crisis, and rebuilding jobs, wealth, and democratic institutions after. We are confident we will all do so again,” added Ms. Mantaring.
