MBC launches Digital Democracy training for LGUs and CSOs
Makati Business Club in partnership with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung will hold a FREE workshop entitled Digital Democracy: Technology for Decision-Making and Community-Building this April and May 2022 via Zoom.
In the midst of increasingly polarized politics and rhetoric, it is essential to improve constructive political participation amid and beyond the 2022 national elections. This online workshop aims to do that, by helping LGUs and CSOs address specific policy issues using digital democracy tools such as Pol.is, the AI-driven platform we have adopted following the example of Taiwan and other governments. By using these tools, governments are able to formulate policies based on popular support, and in the process, strengthen community and civic engagement.
Senior officers, policy officers, information officers, and other employees from Local Government Units (LGUs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are invited to participate in a 2-day workshop training this April 27-28 & May 4-5, 2022 (for LGUs); and May 16-17, 2022 (for CSOs) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
