Global Programs Officer

The successful candidate will help lead the MBC’s efforts to help make Philippine business and the economy more global to create more and better jobs. The two main parts are Global Trade and Investment, where we work with the government, industries, and foreign governments/embassies, and Global Leaders, where we organize learning and networking events with worldwide leaders in business and other fields.

1-Year Contract (with possibility of extension)

Responsibilities
  • Study and help lead advocacy of selected, job-creating liberalization policies as well as other geopolitical positions beneficial to the Philippines
  • Co-design and implement policy dialogues, business missions, meetings, and events for MBC, bilateral business councils, other affiliates
  • Help organize Global Leaders series
  • Perform reporting and administrative tasks required for MBC’s global activities and foreign business councils
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Diplomacy or related fields
  • At least 2 years of related work experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Well-rounded research skills,  knowledge and/or strong interest in trade, investment, and geopolitical  issues
  • Clear, clean, and concise analytical and writing skills. Clear and confident oral communication
  • Creative, innovative, and with good initiative
  • Organized and able to deliver tasks in a timely manner
