PBEd and MBC meeting with UVU President Dr. Tuminez
20 June 2023 – PBEd and MBC met with UVU President Dr. Astrid S. Tuminez to discuss technical-vocational training and other education issues.
Utah Valley University is a leader in the dual-mission system, which combines tech-voc training and university education.
In the meeting were Lito Tayag and Doris Ho, board members of both PBEd and MBC, Gigi Montinola (PBEd and FEU), George Barcelon (PBEd and PCCI), and Corazon dela Paz Bernardo (PBEd). With them were Lisa Gokongwei-Cheng (Gokongwei Brothers Foundation), Renato Carlos H. Ermita Jr., (National University), Elyxzur Ramos (University of Makati), Teresita Medado (Asia Pacific College), Fr. Dindo Vitug (Don Bosco One TVET Philippines), Dan Lachica (SEIPI and Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Dev’t Program-AMDev), Frankie Antolin (IBPAP), Michelle Alarcon (Analytics Association of the Philippines), and Grace Colet (GBF).
Also present were TESDA’s Juliet Orozco and David Bungallon, and Albert Basa, chief of staff of Senator Joel Villanueva.
Staff included PBEd’s Justine Raagas, MBC’s Francisco Alcuaz Jr., and AMDev’s Sasa Siriban.
