Accounting Manager
Makati Business Club is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Manager to oversee and manage all financial activities and reporting for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, budget preparation, payroll processing, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and providing strategic financial insights to support the organization’s goals. This is a regular position, and the Manager will be working with a young, fun, and dynamic staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities of the accounting department and ensuring that all major projects, tasks, month-end and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Produce, analyze and review financial reports related to budgets, cash positions, and income statements and provide advice to the management and stakeholders on how it will affect the company and its future decisions.
- Ensure proper and timely payment/submission of taxes and other monthly/annual regulatory requirements.
- Processing of payroll of employees.
- Manage and lead the accounting team: hiring, training, coaching, and motivating staff while supervising and delegating department tasks.
- Perform other related tasks that may be assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Excel, and other financial software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Preferably with experience in SEC and BIR filing and compliance.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and government contributions.
- Familiarity with project management and fund management is preferred but not required.
