Program Content Consultant

Makati Business Club is looking for a Program Content Consultant who will provide assistance in implementing MBC’s High-Level Forum on Carbon Credits, in partnership with the Singapore Embassy. The event aims to gather policymakers, business leaders, and diplomatic representatives to explore challenges, and solutions related to the carbon credit market and climate policy. This engagement will last for three (3) months.

Scope of Work

The Consultant will be expected to:

  • Review and recommend improvements to the program flow and topics to reflect MBC’s position and interests

  • Evaluate and suggest enhancements to the speaker/moderator roster

  • Coordinate with MBC-assigned speakers, moderators, and panelists, including sending invitations and initial briefings

  • Monitor speaker/panelist confirmations

  • Recommend alternative speakers as needed

  • Attend all pre-event meetings related to content, including with the Singapore Embassy and stakeholders

  • Draft and finalize content materials: briefs, remarks, panel questions, etc.

  • Prepare a one-page explainer on carbon credits

  • Attend final pre-event meetings

  • Provide on-site support during the event for MBC-assigned speakers and moderators

Consultant Profile
  •  Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Political Science, Political Economy, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of experience in policy advocacy and/or research or program management in the related sectors.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex policy and economic issued into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience in conducting and designing policy discussion, roundtable meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Experience in legislative monitoring and advocacy is a plus.
