Globe Business Partners with the Makati Business Club to Conduct Expert-led Roundtable Discussion on Telco Intelligence

Makati City, Philippines — September 30, 2026. Held at the Makati Diamond Residences, “From Signals to Strategy: Driving Enterprise Agility with Telco Intelligence and Real-Time Data” is an event conducted by Globe Business in partnership with the Makati Business Club. The event was an intimate, expert-led roundtable discussion that tackled the nuances of telco intelligence, real-time data, and consumer consent.

The event’s main speakers were: Cat Angangco-Reyes (Senior Director at Globe Telecom) and Migs Cabral (Senior Solutions Architect at Confluent).

Telco Intelligence with Cat Angangco-Reyes

Cat Angangco-Reyes’ Eliminating the Enterprise Data Blindspot with Telco Intelligence discussed how telco intelligence can unblind companies to their consumers’ behaviors. Telco Intelligence is a private-first external dataset that uses anonymized telecom telemetry. This includes cell tower mobility pings, prepaid load proxies, and verified KYC indicators to reveal precise consumer behavior, movement patterns, and purchasing power.

Key Insights:

  1. Globe works with private and public sectors to gather specific datasets they need for organizational decision-making and consumer insights: “To enable better urban planning, crowd management strategies, [and] disaster management strategies: how soon a certain barangay or a town [returns to its] original density or original mobility to see how resilient they are to certain typhoons, for example. That would help to know which areas need aid faster or which areas have an okay rate of getting their aid.”
  2. Globe advocates for customer privacy, ensuring that its operations are compliant with its consent management system: “We call it zero raw data extradition. Any raw data will never leave the Globe environment. […] Even when we have exchanges with our partners, they do that within the Globe environment. That’s how we protect [our consumers].”

Streaming Intelligence with Migs Cabral

Migs Cabral’s Streaming Intelligence into Core Operations with Confluence delved into how real-time data can modernize enterprises. Real-time data streaming refers to the software layer that continuously ingests, processes, and pipes data across enterprise applications, CRMs, and risk engines as they arrive—often in sub-second timelines. They are powered by event-streaming architecture like Confluent.

Key Insights:

  1. Data Streaming is a High-ROI Strategic Priority, with 50% of organizations reporting at least 5x ROI from data streaming and 88% making 2x ROI or more: higher revenue, reduced revenue leakage, and operational efficiencies are driving factors for businesses when it comes to investing in new technologies such as real-time data.
  2. AI holds tremendous value potential, but most AI projects fail to deliver return on investment: “A lot of enterprises are going into AI, 33% of enterprises by 2020. But a lot of these are driven primarily by customer experience. A lot of new cases are coming out; 80% relate to customer complaints, so more on replacing the initial human touchpoint. […] And all of these investments [will have the potential for 30% savings]. Even with those numbers, there’s still a 95% failure rate. Primarily because a lot of these organizations don’t have access to their data in real time.”

Globe Roundtable Discussion

Ultimately, the roundtable discussion urges organizations to ask themselves: what kind of data are we looking for; how would this drive our organization to make the right business decisions; what data do we need real-time access to; and why are we thinking about investing in real-time data?
