13 May 2013 – The Makati Business Club commends the Filipino people for the successful conduct of the
midterm elections. The long voting lines, the hard work of our teachers, election, and security
personnel, and the constant vigilance of all are indeed testaments to the Filipino’s high regard for
the democratic process and strong desire to move the country forward.
As the nation awaits the announcement of our newly elected officials, MBC calls on our
incoming leaders at the national and local levels to continue to champion lasting institutional
reforms toward inclusive growth and greater national competitiveness.
