Part-Time eLearning Officer

The Makati Business Club, in collaboration with USAID, will be implementing this year’s Digital Democracy program, a process which encourages participation and good governance in LGUs. 

We are looking for one (1) eLearning Officer who will create and maintain a self-paced eLearning course based on the online training of LGU officers. This is a part-time engagement, and will be on a highly flexible work set-up.

Duties and Responsibilities

The eLearning Officer will coordinate, prepare, and create a self-paced eLearning course for the Digital Democracy program. This role involves developing engaging online modules, integrating assessments, managing registrations, and coordinating with the communications officer to promote the course through various channels. The eLearning Officer will work closely with trainers, video developers, and project stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of the eLearning program.

Key Tasks include:

Development of Modules:

  • Coordinate with trainers and review scripts to understand course content and objectives.
  • Create an information architecture based on the curriculum
  • Attend workshop dry runs and ensure all necessary sound bytes are included in the script for video production.
  • Conduct test runs of video outputs for publishing and make necessary corrections or adjustments.
  • Test and determine the best learning platform to use for hosting the eLearning modules.

After Online Training:

  • Review video recordings and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Coordinate with a video editor to improve content.
  • Coordinate additional video recordings if needed to enhance course content.
  • Create storyboards with time-stamps and instructions for video developers to ensure accurate production.
  • Review outputs and implement edits or revisions as needed.
  • Prepare pre-tests and post-tests for online assessments and integrate them into the eLearning module backend.

Launch of eLearning Modules:

  • Officially launch the eLearning modules online, managing registrations and attendees.
  • Automate processes such as registration and course access to streamline user experience.
  • Coordinate with the communications officer to promote the eLearning modules through online platforms and social media channels.

eLearning Modules Maintenance:

  • Monitor participant engagement and progress within the eLearning modules.
  • Respond promptly to queries or questions from course participants.
  • Prepare regular reports on course performance, participant feedback, and completion rates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience in eLearning development and course creation, preferably in a project management or training context.
  • Proficiency in instructional design principles, learning management systems (LMS), and eLearning authoring tools.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with trainers, video developers, and project stakeholders.
  • Experience in graphic design and video editing, and social media promotion is highly desirable.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools for tracking progress and reporting.
