Data Visualization Programmer
Makati Business Club is looking for one (1) Data Visualization Programmer who will be responsible for customizing an existing platform or creating a new platform to visualize the national budget.
This is on a highly flexible work set up.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives for the data visualization platform.
- Design and develop dynamic and interactive data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using relevant programming languages and tools.
- Integrate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Optimize the performance and usability of the data visualization platform across different devices and platforms.
- Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve any bugs or issues in the platform.
- Provide (1 month) technical support and training to users to maximize the platform’s effectiveness and adoption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2 years) in data visualization development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or R, as well as data visualization libraries/frameworks like D3.js, Plotly, or Tableau.
- Experience working with data manipulation and analysis tools such as SQL, Pandas, or RStudio.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles, design aesthetics, and user experience best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of government budgeting processes and public financial data analysis is desirable but not required.
