Agriculture Project Officer

Makati Business Club is looking for an Agriculture Project Officer who will play a key role in implementing the Makati Business Club’s Agriculture Summit and other advocacy activities. The officer will help design, coordinate, and implement projects—toward building stronger agricultural systems and partnerships.

Duties and Responsibilities

Agriculture Summit Event Planning and Support

  • Support the planning and implementation of MBC’s Agriculture Summit and other related dialogues, workshops, and site visits.
  • Assist in coordination with MBC’s various departments involved in the event planning and execution. 
  • Assist in coordination with speakers and participants, including briefings and other support needed. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure smooth program implementation.
  • Assist in preparing event programs, communication materials, and post-event reports.

Project Support: Price Transparency Board

  • Support in the planning and activation of MBC’s project on Price Transparency Board. 
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders in the project, including the Department of Agriculture, LGU, Baguio Business Club, and farmer groups for dialogues, workshops, and site visits. 
  • Work with MBC’s Agriculture Project Officer in building content for the project, including baseline assessment questions and metrics, daily data posting plan, and information campaign. 

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with government agencies, private sector partners, and farmer cooperatives.
  • Prepare meeting notes, briefs, and follow-up reports.

Research and Documentation

  • Conduct research on agriculture policies, market trends, and best practices relevant to MBC’s projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of concept notes, proposals, and progress reports.
  • Document lessons learned and success stories from project implementation.

Administrative and Logistical Support

  • Provide logistical and coordination support for field activities and meetings.
  • Maintain accurate project files, records, and databases.
  • Assist in financial documentation and liquidation when needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree related to Development Studies, Public Administration, Management, or Economics.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project implementation, coordination, or stakeholder management.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel for project activities.
  • Strong writing and reporting skills.
  • Familiarity with agriculture, rural development, or cooperative programs is an advantage but not required.
  • Experience engaging with government and private sector partners is a plus.
