Policy & Programs Officer -
Digital Economy
Makati Business Club is looking for a Policy and Programs Officer – Digital Economy who willprovide secretariat, coordination, and policy support services for the Digital Economy Project in alignment with external partner commitments and approved project workplans. The role exists for the duration of the project phase and corresponding service arrangement.
This position reports directly to the PPU Project Lead and coordinates closely with the Policy and Programs Manager and the Executive Director, as well as relevant policy committees and the communications team.
Responsibilities
1.Project & Partner Coordination
- Lead secretariat coordination for Digital Economy project activities.
- Serve as focal person for partner-related communications.
- Coordinate project deliverables pursuant to approved workplan.
- Support membership coordination related to the project.
2. Policy & Research Support (Project-Specific)
- Prepare project-specific briefers and reports.
- Assist in stakeholder consultations related to the Digital Economy initiative.
- Support legislative monitoring as required under project scope.
3. Administrative & Reporting
- Prepare periodic reports required under the service agreement.
- Assist in tracking project milestones and outputs.
- Support financial and administrative coordination related to the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, economics, environmental studies, development studies, or a related field.
- At least 2–4 years of experience in policy research, program coordination, government engagement, or advocacy work.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and accurate briefs, notes, and summaries.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with government, private sector, and civil society stakeholders.
- Commitment to transparency, evidence-based policymaking, and collaborative work.
