MBC wraps up Digital Democracy Training for LGUs and CSOs

    Last April and May 2022, MBC organized a workshop series entitled Digital Democracy: Technology for Community-Building and Decision-Making for LGU and CSO officers.

    Digital Democracy is an online consultation process that local governments and civil society organizations can use to get feedback from their constituents and communities.

      BUSINESS AND CIVIL SOCIETY GROUPS APPEAL ON BEHALF OF SENATOR LEILA DE LIMA

        Last Feb 23, 2022, the fifth-year anniversary of Senator Leila de Lima’s arrest and incarceration, several business groups appealed to the government to reconsider the remaining charges against Senator Leila de Lima – a legislator, a former Justice Secretary and Commissioner on Human rights, a lawyer, wife and mother.

          The Makati Business Club salutes Philippine workers on this Labor day. We acknowledge the outsize burden they faced during the past two years. Some were essential and frontline workers risking COVID exposure so others could live safely. Others were among the first — and longest — to lose their jobs. Many remain unemployed.
