MBC supports policy and development reforms that promote greater financial inclusion especially in a post-pandemic scenario. In 2020, MBC, together with PERC, or the Policy and Economic Research Council, a leading US/Canada-based institution in the field of credit information prepared a study and organized a forum which saw the need to update and amend the Philippines’ Credit Information System Act (CISA). The measure will help achieve optimal growth and development of the Credit Information Corporation specifically, and the entire national credit information sharing system, in general. To do that, all stakeholders must be involved – regulators, policy makers, banking industry, financial sector, SMEs, relevant organizations and individuals.
