Stretch Hero, a premier Japanese personal stretch studio, is looking for master franchise partners in the Philippines!

Personal stretching is distinct from physical therapy or massage by focusing on functional improvement and immediate results in posture, range of motion, and flexibility. Stretch Hero achieves this through its comprehensive basic stretch service with Japanese techniques. Special upgrade courses can achieve aesthetic results such as core tightening and facial slimming. Female customers comprise majority of its customers.

The Philippines lacks specialist stretch studios; a master franchise partner can capture the untapped demand, especially among middle- to upper-class office workers. Training and support will be provided by the Japan headquarters to ensure mutual success.

At Mobile World Congress 2026, Globe joined global players such as Google, Schneider Electric, and the International Energy Agency to address a growing industry issue: how AI-driven network demand can be managed sustainably while maintaining performance

Key highlights:

  • AI as a network efficiency driver: Globe is deploying AI to dynamically manage power usage across cell sites, reducing electricity consumption during low demand periods without impacting service quality
  • Material cost and operational impact: Early deployments show 20–30% annual energy savings from AI-enabled cooling and power optimization, translating to meaningful OPEX improvements at scale
  • Industry relevance: With telco networks operating 24/7 and energy as a major cost driver, AI-led optimization presents a scalable lever for both margin improvement and sustainability compliance

This piece positions AI not just as a demand driver for telcos, but as a tool to manage rising energy costs, improve network efficiency, and support long-term sustainability targets.

CSR OPPORTUNITIES WITH AGREA FOUNDATION

As part of MBC’s commitment to advance the agricultural sector and improve the lives of Filipino farmers, MBC’s secretariat team visited one of AGREA Foundation’s farming sites—the Payatas Garden of Hope—to explore collaboration opportunities. Once a landfill, the site was transformed into a livelihood, food, and nutrition source for various families through the dedication and cooperation of women urban farmers.

AGREA seeks funding through CSR initiatives to scale up the Women Food Producers Association (WFPA), including the WFPA Payatas. The community also welcomes corporate partners for a farm tour, offering hands-on activities on sustainable urban farming. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear about the stories, aspirations, and dream livelihood programs of the WFPA members.
